Sharjah Sports Council, in cooperation with Endurance Sports Services, is presenting to you as part of its community races the of Al Dhaid Fort Desert Run in the city of Al Dhaid in the Emirate of Sharjah. Dhaid Fort, (Also known as Al Hisn Dhaid) is a restored C18th fortification in the city of Dhaid, Sharjah, in the United Arab Emirates. It has long been an important stronghold for the Ruling families of Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah and a key strategic asset in maintaining a historical Qawasim dominance of the inland areas of the Northern Emirates.We offer you a unique running experience through the sands of the city of Al Dhaid, where the start will be from Dhaid Fort Desert Run, and the path consists of a group of dunes that require you to cross them amid camels, Ghaf trees and other desert shrubs, by choosing one of the race distances. يقدّم مجلس الشارقة الرياضي، بالتعاون مع شركة القدرة لخدمات الرياضية، ضمن سباقاته المجتمعية، سباق حصن الذيد الصحراوي في مدينة الذيد بإمارة الشارقة. يُعد حصن الذيد (المعروف أيضًا باسم الحِصن) حصنًا تاريخيًا مُرمَّمًا يعود إلى القرن الثامن عشر في مدينة الذيد، الشارقة، بدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة. وقد كان على مرّ الزمن معقلًا مهمًا للعائلات الحاكمة في الشارقة ورأس الخيمة، وأصلًا استراتيجيًا رئيسيًا للحفاظ على الهيمنة التاريخية للقواسم على المناطق الداخلية من الإمارات الشمالية. نقدّم لكم تجربة جري فريدة عبر رمال مدينة الذيد، حيث ستكون نقطة الانطلاق من حصن الذيد، ويمر المسار عبر مجموعة من الكثبان الرملية التي تتطلب عبورها وسط الجِمال وأشجار الغاف وغيرها من الشجيرات الصحراوية، وذلك باختيار إحدى مسافات السباق المتاحة. ستكون نقطتا البداية والنهاية في الموقع نفسه.
